Summer’s Arrival

You know at the start of summer there will be a single poppy at the edge of a field or pathway, then you turn round a few days later and there will be loads of them brightening up your day, letting us know that summer is here.  This painting is one of my favourites from the series and was that very scene at the edge of a field, bringing hope and excitement for what’s around the corner.

Mixed media on Arches hot pressed watercolour paper, professionally framed  in a single mount and grey wooden frame with hanging at back.  Painting is A4 plus approx 44 x 34cm including the frame
