Squares I

Squares I is part of the ongoing Journey Into Colour series.  It is a small mixed media piece created with many layers of paint, ink and pencil.    The final layer of small squares gives the feeling of secrecy by hiding the early layers, but still allowing something to show through.  For some reason I love the feeling of painting squares and it has a light, fun element about it.
