From the birds and wildflowers on local footpaths to breathtaking landscapes and glowing sunrises, my surroundings fuel my creativity.  I find endless inspiration in the vibrant colours and stunning beauty of nature. 

Hi, I’m Sandra an artist based on the beautiful Essex coast in Maldon.  As a latecomer to the beauty of nature,  I now love capturing the details of the world around me – the delicate curve of a petal, the texture of bark, or the fleeting glimpse of a bee busily working away.  I work mostly with watercolour and ink, enjoying the freedom the paint brings and detail that drawing with ink offers. I also like to experiment with abstract acrylics, where I can truly play with colour and texture. 

Last year, after over sixteen years of walking the beautiful areas around Maldon and Heybridge as a postie, I decided to leave Royal Mail to focus on creating, hosting my first solo exhibition, The Creative Escape and sharing my passion through challenges and my subscription box.
